Aaron and I stumbled across this old beast at a local driving range in Covington, Georgia.  It’s still used to collect the golf balls from the range.  A simple trailer it hooked up and dragged around the range.  What I liked best about the composition is the startling color difference between the rusting old hood and the truck’s original blue/green color.  This is contrasted against a classic Georgia scene of overgrown late summer vegetation and red clay ground.  The green algae grows untouched on the side of the truck’s rear bed panels while a mysterious red stripe graces the grill in front.  The copper colored headlight housings also caught my attention.  There’s just so much going on with this old truck!  Hope you enjoy exploring it as much as I did.

Village of Ecton, England

A recent business trip brought me to Northamptonshire in the United Kingdom.  I stayed at a smaller hotel just outside the village of Ecton where I wandered on Saturday to do a bit of exploring.  Most of the community was hidden from view behind high walls, but adjacent to the hotel was a small playground with a forgotten memorial.  I walked the village’s main street for about ten minutes and found myself at the end of the community, standing literally between two fields of penned sheep.  That was where I found the old oak tree with roots forbidden to take full grasp of the hardened ground.

The old church cemetery held a number of nearly ancient headstones, many of which were tilted fore or aft.  There didn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason as to where or how people were buried.  A little further down the road I found the ‘Wisteria House’ which had a wisteria tree growing up and into the wall of the structure, only to protrude from the front facade of the building once again.  I do wish I had more time to spend in the area taking photographs, but this was after all a business trip so I captured what I could while I was there.
